Yes, the digital certificate described by the Interior Ministry is free and carries no stamp duty. This applies to the downloadable ANPR document, not automatically to every copy or extract held by a municipality.

How we worked it out
We used two Interior Ministry pages. One expressly lists the birth registry certificate among documents available online without stamp duty; the newer notice documents the free ANPR service for digitised civil-status records. The EUR 0 figure therefore applies only to that documented digital route. We do not assign a national price to historical copies or extracts requested from a municipality, because availability depends on where and when the record was created.
